Theresa from Iowa has contacted as she would like everyone to know that retired racing greyhounds make great pets.  She says: ” I know those retired racers can be skittish at first.  Once a bit of trust is established, they make outstanding pets!    I have two retired greyhounds and we refer to them as the fastest couch potatoes on earth.”

DSPCA – The Dublin Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is a registered charity, established in 1840 to prevent cruelty to animals and is now Ireland’s largest animal welfare organisation. Link to the DSPCA.

ISPCA – For nearly sixty years the Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ISPCA) has worked locally and nationally rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming animals. The ISPCA has continued to develop its facilities and staff functions in order to fulfil its core function, the rescue, rehabilitation and responsible rehoming of cruelly treated and neglected animals.
